Well, we finally have 2 cars to drive. I feel like that is a blessing after what we've had to do the last couple weeks. On my last post I mentioned that I crashed my little car. That wasn't the half of it. We own 4 vehicles. One by one things had been going wrong with them. Our jeep engine was fried so we were trying to find a new engine for it . Then the transmission went out on the Ford truck. Then the starter on the Exploder ( Explorer) went out. We were looking into getting each of those fixed and then I crashed my Mercedes. We had 0 vehicles. Our children helped us out by lending us a vehicle here and there. For two weeks we three drivers shared one car. This is how it went. Roger would get up early and take me to work in Moses Lake. He would then drive back to Ephrata and pick up Wes and Wes would drop him off at the bus stop so he could ride to BBCC where he is teaching classes. Wes would go to the high school for his 1st period class. He then would drive to the college for his Spanish class as he is participating in Running Start. He would then drive back to Ephrata to attend the rest of his high school classes. Roger would get on the bus to come to Ephrata. He would walk from the bus stop to the high school, pick up the car , then head back to Moses Lake to pick me up at the Hospital. WE SURVIVED! But, enough is enough. The starter and new tires are on the Explorer ($350+). The new tansmission is in the truck ($1100). So we have 2 vehicles. They are still trying to find an engine for the Jeep( Est. $2000). And the Mercedes is in the shop.( About $5,000 worth damage)Fortunately most will be picked up by our insurance. Wanna bet our rates go up. But We feel grateful. Amazing what you can do when you have too:)
